I have had luck with mixing oils like jojoba or almond oil, about 1/2tsp. Sulfur powder, & a few drops of tea tree oil in a nozzle bottle. Helps my itchiness and dry scalp.

If it itches that bad you may have scalp dermatitis, which is an overgrowth of yeast/fungus. Check your dandruff flakes; if they are greasy and big that may be the issue. If that is the case oils are going to make the issue worse. Though it was a self diagnosis I believe that's what I had.
What worked for me was Listerine. (yellow antiseptic only)
Id shampoo my hair and for the deep condition, apply it w/ an applicator bottle to my scalp.
Rinse and style hair. When I did moisturize, mango butter was only applied to the hair shaft.
Its cut down the itching and flakes tremendously.
