So I had a conversation with one of my friends the other day takingabout my hair. I permed my hair after being natural for 2 years. He told me something that i didn't agree with and i wanted to know what other people's opinions were about this topic so I made a video that you can find here http://youtu.be/bIfNS0xlHgQ
please give me your feedback on whether you feel as if your hair is your identity.

well for me My hair does not define me! I know I am beautiful with or without weave, wigs, or any hair at all! I enjoy the privilege of variety, sometimes a new hair style will give me a shot of confidence its like a new dress its only a fleeting sensation. But as for being natural I feel like it help me relax when I play in my real hair and does make me feel grounded and authentic- but in essence "I am not my hair I am beyond"

I feel like hair is an extension of who you are per se. It doesn't define who I am ultimately - but it does express how I'm feeling from day-to-day if that makes sense. If you see me in a lazy bun - I didn't get much sleep and was rushing. If it's bantu knotted then I'm feeling fearless and free, it's it's blown out then I'm feeling myself. I'm transitioning to a natural and it's just another layer of who I am internally.

yes it does for me. If my hair is too short I don't look feminine.

100%
Whenever I stray from braids no less than a week later I'm braiding my hair all back no matter how much money I spent on the weave/wig
