You sound normal to me. You had a lot going on in your past and you just can't recall all of it.

Are you sure you're not depressed? My memory is the same way.. and has been for years. Supposedly your memory takes a nose dive when you're in a constant state of depression. Also if anything traumatic happened around those times, you might be blocking it out..

It was my last refill and I never went to the doc to get another

I didn't read the whole thread except for the first page, but in Psychology I remember learning about a defense mechanism that we all have where we tend to block out bad memories from our past, but it's still in our subconscious/unconscious (one of them) thoughts. Maybe this is what is happening to you.
I think depression can cause this too, since I was very depressed two years back and I only remember a little from that year.

That does sound weird. I remember things by semesters in school. For example, if I'm trying to remember when I first heard a song, I'll think, "I heard The Motto in Spring 2012" or the yr I was in school. I have pretty good memory I think, even things I repress I still remember the gist of them. Maybe you just aren't good at remembering idk. Maybe a diary (I keep one) and crossword puzzles(seriously) will help.

It could be a lot of things, not necessarily a mental health issue.
For instance, it could be a brain tumor. Not saying this to scare you | I don't get it....brain tumors can cause mental health issues.
