Are you sure you're not depressed? My memory is the same way.. and has been for years. Supposedly your memory takes a nose dive when you're in a constant state of depression. Also if  anything traumatic happened around those times, you might be blocking it out..

I have depression. I used to take celexa and yeah. It got stolen at a club with my purse. It was my last refill and I never went to the doc to get another

I didn't read the whole thread except for the first page, but in Psychology I remember learning about a defense mechanism that we all have where we tend to block out bad memories from our past, but it's still in our subconscious/unconscious (one of them) thoughts. Maybe this is what is happening to you.

I think depression can cause this too, since I was very depressed two years back and I only remember a little from that year.

That does sound weird. I remember things by semesters in school. For example, if I'm trying to remember when I first heard a song, I'll think, "I heard The Motto in Spring 2012" or the yr I was in school. I have pretty good memory I think, even things I repress I still remember the gist of them.
Maybe you just aren't good at remembering idk. Maybe a diary (I keep one) and crossword puzzles(seriously) will help.

I don't get it....brain tumors can cause mental health issues.

I can't remember half of anything. I don't let it bother me though. I barely remember childhood, some things yes. I can't remember names, sometimes faces. Im not too worried. Its not that important to me.

I remember everything, and I do mean everything. I can remember a few details from when my grandpa was still alive (he died when I was 3) and some details from when I was about 4 (Im talking conversations, drinks, the exact place I was sitting in the kitchen) and I can recall the 1st time I ever interacted with the non-family members that I associate with.

I did block out a lot of things from 2nd-7th grade, but a lot of that came back. Im convinced the majority of the abuse I endured happened in the 3rd grade, because I remember very little from that year.

This memory makes it exceptionally easy to hold grudges, though.
