When I cook, I say, "dinner's done." That or, "I made breakfast." I'll make a plate for a kid though but to be honest, I let my 3yr old niece get her own food with minor supervision.
I don't want anyone to make my plate either, even at restaurants. I think that is why I like salad bars so much.

It's weird that aa BHM'ers go kinda hard with gf/wife duties, but not as hard when it comes to parenting duties and taking care of parents.

I think we'd be a family with the food being on the dinner table already and everybody puts their own portions on it.
& I don't like plates anyway. I eat out of bowls.

Lol When I wake up in the morning my fiance asks me if i am hungry, and if i say no, he lists all my fav breakfast foods And ask me if I want that. I eventually give in.
If he is leaving for work, he makes a big cup of tea and drinks it until he has to leave. When leaving, he brings it to the bed and feeds me a sip then leaves the mug in my hand.
If I wake before him, I ask him if he wants tea, and I make it for him.
If i make dinner and i set the dining room table, and he wants seconds, sometimes he goes to get it before I even know he wants more.
Everyone and every relation has it's peeves.
I complain that his body hair/beard...still not sure wtf it is... is all over the bathroom floor and shower stall, but my sister thinks this is nothing to get annoyed about. I just HATE HATE HATE to see shed hair.
Meanwhile, she needs her own bedroom so that sometimes she can be alone. GIRL...bye! I hateeee to sleep alone. I never really sleep deeply if I am alone.
You just have to find someone compatible or compromise a bit

you know to be honest, making a plate isnt that much of a big deal for me moreso than the ability to be able to cook.
