Personally I don't think my nephew has any mental issues but he's really stubborn and just bad.. He doesn't listen to anyone |
Disorders like the one I mentioned have symptoms that literally say that. I know my gut reaction to some of the kids that come through the clinic is to simply label them 'bad ass kid' (shame on me ) but once you start talking to them, you start seeing the underlying reasons for their behaviors and their behavior makes more sense. Good luck to your nephew.

my little sister is kinda like that but she's actually a polite and sweet child--but she is so stubborn and will often ignore what you say and has some great qualities BUT she will play you...i've seen her play her teachers and give them a "bitch why are you asking me this basic ass question" face
my dad holds out hope that she'll eventually stop bc my mom says she was like that as a kid too
my husband's nephew was bad as hell too...he eventually grew out of it...he's like 15 now...but he was troublesome

This, but (in my experience) it's SO rarely the latter. More often than not, sh!tty parenting produces problem children.

^Guuurl! One parent was about to lose her child to foster care but swore she was a good parent. Kid was violent, on drugs, etc. The mom barely mentioned that her oldest child left home to live with her friend from school...at age 14.

^^ SMH!! My latest was parents wanting to be sure their kid was ok, but were undermining, withholding info from the other and sabotaging team parenting efforts-- mostly the dad. The kid was fine, despite their stupidity.
