BO is no more moral than MLK and some others. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he has cheated in the past. Politicians are a special brand of people.
If he did I could no doubt separate that from his politics.

With MLK though he was supposed to be a man of God. You put somebody through the wringer (house bombings, death threats) only to cheat on them. I'd be livid.

I was reading that Betty & Coretta thread and a poster quoted a friend saying women who are dating powerful men need to think twice before they leave them for cheating. What say you bhm? Does a woman need to suck it up and deal with her mans philandering ways if he's important just for the greater good? And does their infidelity make you lose respect for them and their cause? Lmks. |
i don't see how a woman ignoring her husband's cheating ways can be for the greater good. what about the damage it does the their relationship, physically, emotionally, even medically (diseases)? what about the damage it does to his family? what good is that leader to other people if he can't keep his family straight? and more importantly, what about the damage it does to the woman? that often gets lost yes, their infidelity makes me lose respect for them. part of it is putting them so high on a pedestal that we forget that they are human with human fallacies. i remember being really upset when i found out that mlk cheated...i thought he was so above that. if barack ever cheated on michelle, i would be devastated. i haven't read that thread yet, but i'm about to

I personal don't believe all men cheat, but I would not but anything past someone. We all have free will to do what is right.

I agree with you jr, but what nancytrillosi is saying, is that because he was a man of God who studied Christianity and knew what was deemed wrong in Christianity that you wouldn't expect him to commit adultery. Adultery is one of the 10 commandments right?

This thread has so many facets to it.
It's not black and white
