AARP also does your taxes for free...I've been going to them since I was 16...they're all trained volunteers.

I use TurboTax.com every year. It's easy, and free if u made under $30,000. It's $50 if u made over $30,000 which is still reasonable since other places charge hundreds to file ur taxes.

I get my refund direct deposited so its much quicker than having to wait for IRS to mail u a check

1098e question: Will I be able to deduct the interest paid from a consolidated loan that was paid off by my current lender? Or will i only be able to deduct the amount of interest that I paid ( which was only maybe a couple hundred bucks)?I keep getting conflicting answers when I research.

I'm getting my forms together and Im nervous about owing

OP you can always walk in to your local IRS building and have them prepare your return.  Just go to irs.gov and type in "walk in office".  Then select your area.  They list the phone number, address and services provided at each location.

I was gonna use turbo tax but there are people in here who pointed out free websites to do it on!!

i definitely don't trust anybody to do it, idk why

that's a bit weird. i mean your taxes are simple now...but the tax code is pretty complicated and i doubt you'd want to learn it all.  someone might have to do your taxes someday :)
