Why did the life coach e-mail you instead of discussing it before she left your home?  It's a bit passive aggressive but I see where she was coming from.  You two just need to talk and come to a mutual understanding.

Lol I don't think she operated like a business owner

Don't they atleast need to give you a disclaimer or something before advising? Someone could turn it around and claim they're trying to counsel without a license. It seems like this is some side hustle she has and doesn't pay taxes on it. If she wanted to be viewed in a professional light then she should've approached it differently. She's just an old lady that happens to be wise and nosey.

Meh, I think this is a case of bad communication on both sides. OP may have never made it clear that she was inviting this woman over in order to pick her brain (not that this = trying to get a freebie) and this chick may have felt uncomfortable once she was already in OP's house to create confrontation. Hence, an email after the fact.

Exactly-- to me it's just awfully strange for the woman to send an invoice.
