Im new to all of this....HELP LADIES!!!

I am completely new to weaves and extensions.  My hair has been natural for 8 years now and I recently cut it back into a TWA about 1" long on the sides and back and 3" long at the crown.   My boyfriend has never seen me with my hair straight other than in pictures.  I'm considering trying a quick weave with glue for him (I was told that, bc of how short my hair is, a sew-in would not be an option) but dont know where to start.  

 

I would like to know what I'm talking about before I go into the salon.  I absolutely love everything about the style below:  the color, the length, the cut - it's all GORGEOUS!  Can you guys help me out?  What is the best kind of weave and length to purchase to recreate this and have it look completely natural?   I do want it 100% human hair and not synthetic, I do know that much.   Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!  Thank you so much.
