tbh If other causes are not blasted as much or even more than Kony 2012, most americans will not know much about them.  Americans just don't google places thinking "hey I wonder what part of Africa I can help with" well at least not most.

I don't expect Obama to do anything for the Congo. I am just happy that Clinton is no longer the Secretary of State and that Susan Rice will not be replacing her. Those two have always  given Rwanda a carte blanche to ride rough shod all over the DRC.  China  processes and benefits greatly from the minerals stolen from the Congo, so America's not going to want to step on China's feet ( the same thing is happening in Sudan with oil).
