Wow, it's crazy that BOA didn't stop a purchase in chicago. I have BOA and they are ALWAYS freezing my account because of "suspicious activity". It's annoying because I have to call them and verify my purchases but I guess I'm grateful now.

they have done that with us in the past too. It's always an immediate inconvenience but in the long run I am grateful too. but yeah the clerks look at you like you're the thief when the card is declined because of suspicious activity.  *embarrassing*

Yeah girl, I'm born and raised from Chicago, and most of my family is in other states or deceased, so it wasn't any of them. But that address they gave me, I grew up in that neighborhood! Smh....

*hugs* This happened to me before. I had to file a police report, sign some papers, and the funds were reimbursed. I know the feeling! Someone using a pc in California depleted my checking account.

I'm so sorry that happened to you as well as other people in this thread! When it happens you just feel so open and exposed! Identity theft of any kind is so hard to avoid.
