Even so, personally I feel he should maximize his earning potential while he's young but like you said there are many ways to live

Right, they are wealthy now. Mr Money Mustache was a high income earner before he retired. But the dude from Man v. Debt was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy in the red. Same for the guy who writes The Simple Dollar.

Like I said, it's all about priorities.

there was this girl named chelsy(sp?) who was adopted. she cried whenever the teachers had to change her pull up. i would sit back and be like "yall should investigate this sh*t". but it wasn't my place.

Saying that people should not have kids if they are going to go to daycare is different than saying it isn't ideal

yeah noney sometimes it's just about simple observation too.  just the other day I was visiting my god daughter (14 mos) and her mother went thru the kitchen into the basement.  that baby stood at the kitchen entrance and just kept pointing toward the basement steps across the kitchen.  when the mom came back up I was like so wtf happened to this baby in the kitchen...lol.  she wouldn't even step foot in there even tho she clearly wanted to follow her mom.   she claimed nothing.  but i feel like that baby had an accident of some sort fell or something that kitchen...cause she was straight shook.
of course if that baby could talk she could tell me what had happint....

eta: that baby follows us around everywhere else except that kitchen...

He and his wife both earned high salaries and they saved so much that earning more wouldn't really mean much since they enjoy living a low-cost lifestyle anyway. They already had enough to be retired indefinitely.

But I can definitely see your point.
