I have a 4 year old niece, her mom is a SAHM, she wants to go to school so bad, she has a little book bag for pretend school and everything. All the preschoolers I know like school. I think a lot of people are projecting insecurities and feelings kids don't even have on this issue.

Ok maysay I must have misunderstood because in other threads you spoke of actively working against parenting in poverty

And that you focus your attention/time/resources on "preventing" parenting in poverty because you care about that much more strongly than say fair wages for women

I agree...i don't get how mothers say they were "bored" while at home with their kids... My mom would take us everywhere and during that time we also took swim classes which im glad she did. More kids should learn how to swim before they start school.

But i think it goes back to having kids because you actually want them vs having kids bc thats what society says....

My 3.5  month  LO hates his car seat.... Stores and restaurants are a no go until my hub gets home... I wear him on walks... but I am bored at home... I can't wait until he can enjoy those things....

Wait.

Some people are arguing that women need to stay home with their child but not arguing for fair wages for women? I'm skimming but I would hope this is not the case because those two social issues go hand in hand. Everyone should be paid fairly.Thumbs Up

I also thought that you thought that depending on men is foolhardy

But I might have you mixed up with another poster

EXACTLY. My precal professor told me, make sure I sign up for school and flex classes, don't stay home all day or it will drive me crazy and to trust her. She was right.

How cute, now would be a great time for her to start going at least twice a week, just to ease her into the school situation.
My daughter goes to school and she ALWAYS plays like she's going to work because her mommy and daddy works. I think it sets an example and good values.
Once my mom retired I saw her just spend money on anything she, do what she wanted. (cause she could)
I think that had repercussions on me though.
