Well my child started daycare at 2, so you have to think about that too.
She's more like getting ready for school, where they put as many kids as they want sometimes up to 26 & she's super advanced.
If she was a baby baby, then of course I would want her at a small place, where they have a small ratio.

Clearly I'm not talking about people who are raped, just like I'm not talking about women who live in places where access to birth control is impossible/illegal and society doesn't allow for the choice to be childfree.

Jeez, it's like every post needs a disclaimer to point out the obvious.

so I've heard it said women in poverty should not be mothers

Now it seems it is also being suggested that the majority of middle class women should also forgo motherhood due to needing to work

Does that only leave rich women as suitable mothers?

Or does staying home trump poverty? Ie staying home on welfare vs daycare

Lol Ricky.

That's what you can't listen to other ppl.

All you can do is prepare as well as you can and love them to pieces.

Just bc it isn't ideal doesn't mean everything should stop.

Rick are you a mama?

only the rich should have kids

Which goes back to your earlier post about money not equating to a great life.

Some people in this thread should become dictators in North Korea.

Ahhhhh. See and that's not how I feel at all.

A great life to me is one in which a child is basically able to live Maslov's hierarchy. At the very least they should have food, shelter, medical care, safety, security, and education.

You can have a tiny income and provide that or large income and not provide that.

Some of my favorite families/blogs that I follow are people who have incomes below the poverty line but are able to provide amazing lives for their children because they make it a priority. And it's all different types, from people who travel full time in their rv's to folks who live in a more traditional way.
