So you are a bad/irresponsible parent if you purposely have kids knowing they will have to go to daycare???

Are you all being realistic or nah???

I plan to put my career on hold when I become a mom so I can stay home with my kids (And "boredom" isn't a word in my vocabulary because my kids and I will frequent the zoo, parks, museums, stay active, go outside, etc, cause we gangstas like that).

I'm a maternal person and being with my kids would make me happy. I prefer to be their main caregiver and wouldn't be  comfortable sending my children to daycare.

My mom was a SAHM while my father worked outside the house , and am so appreciative of that because it had soooo many benefits to my siblings and I as children and even now as adults.

Unfortunately, our society insults and looks down on SAHMs and doesn't give enough respect to the role of being a homemaker.

While I encourage women to make sacrifices, if they can, in other areas of their lives to be with their children, especially during their formative years (studies show the important of a strong mother-child bond and mother's presence during these years),  but I recognize the reality is that there are many women who work, some out of choice and others out of necessity, and frankly that's not anyone's business but their own.

To each his/her own.

Every parent should take time to research, contemplate, and decide what's best for their family.

I miss your beautiful post . HeartClap

it's like $400 a week for one child where I live

Dang a week? It's 141 but that's only MWF, 191 for All week and that's at a reputable daycare.
I know people who pay about 100 a week but at a no name place

I actually think big name daycare are worse.
Id rather a small one with 3 or 4 children at most.

I know one that still has a curriculum and the works but keeps the number small so there can be concentrated special care..

I would hate to take my baby to a big time daycare where they are just one of the herd

Yes, it's irresponsible. Deliberately choosing to have a child you have no other choice but to put in daycare most of the time isn't right. Just like you're a bad parent if you bring a child into this world knowing you're a drug addict, or homeless, or your SO beats you, or you don't have a way to feed the child.

And pregnancies are not accidents. If you have sex, even if it's protected, you are accepting the possibility that you may get pregnant.

But folks do what they want to do, everyone else, child included, be damned.

True well on my side of town which is a nicer side (& predominately mexican or white), I saw that it would be more diverse place for my daughter and I can trust she's in a nice facility, and they won't do anything to let there reputable name be dragged down.

It all depends on the person and going to actually visit the places.

It's one to six most places for children.
One to 3 for infants.

But I really wouldn't want too many ppl around.

So I would only want one care giver not all this ppl and at the bigger places there are usually more than one.

I'm biased I worked at a nice daycare at the end of high school for a little while.
Those ppl paid good money for subpar treatment.

I don't like daycares really as a rule
