Not just deadbeat dads/moms. Any parent that commits a crime should be sterilized. The person has already proven they're a bad parent by having no regard for how their actions will affect their ability to raise their child properly, so they clearly shouldn't be allowed to have anymore.

I've heard of weekend jail being done before. I know of a few people (SMDH) that have had to do it. And I actually know that girl too

Great idea. I think making it difficult to ever use credit again is a great punishment...and maybe they'd get an automatic higher interest rate.
