Looks like Marley hair.

If it is real, it wouldn't do well just worn "out" on a regula basis, unless she wanted some free form locs. Detangling would be an all evening event.

I would probably to twists for 2-3 weeks, wear it in a twistout bun/updo for a couple days, before co-washing again.

if you just do the water test and figure out your porosity you can save a lot of money and time by not buying products that just wont work on your hair and which techniques might be best for you.

Honestly, I'd prolly cut it to apl.  The length and thickness = more hours/time then I care to spend doing it.

My hair would stay twisted or braided up. Or in a bun. I don't think I'd be able to handle my hair if it were that long AND that texture.

The best one I can think of off the top of my head is S Curl No Drip sealed with shea butter. It will leave your hair moisturized for daaaaayysss on end. It's heavy but my hair is coarse, though, so it can carry it.
