I think all persons should enter into a relationship with a mindset of generosity and respect to guide how they treat the other person. I don't think most things are "husband" or "wife" duties so much as "I like/care about/love this other person and want to be in a good relationship where we're both happy" duties and I do these things because I want to do them.

Though not doing certain things will have me drop you like a hot potato...not because you didn't fulfill "husband duties" per se, but because by not doing those duties you showed me you're just not a good person to be in any type of relationship with.

if you're dating for married purposes then yes you should simulate those roles. that simulation does not mean doing everything. 

if you're dating for sh*ts and giggles then all you need to do is be nice.
