Since your hair is short this would be a good time to take advantage of cleansing your scalp frequently. Nothing grows your hair faster than frequent washing. Water in your body by drinking 64 ounces daily and water on your body by washing it daily when you take your shower. Since your hair is short it should dry pretty quickly, so no worry of going out the house with a wet head. Better yet you can shampoo at night. This is the fastest way I know to grow your hair.
Another choice would be along with the natural oil adding scalp massage but you need to do it daily. Now overall exercise is best because it stimulates your blood circulation. Better blood circulation better hair grow better health. So add a daily 5 minute scalp massage to your routine. Do it while watching TV so it does not seem boring to you.
If you do not feel like using your fingers, if you are married ask your husband to massage your scalp. If no hubbie you can purchase a scalp massager. I recommend the tingler. If you live near a CVS drug store, I found a small version of the scalp tingler for only $5. This things feels so good, it makes you come alive! Use it in the morning it really feel so good.
This is the more expensive version but CVS has a smaller cheaper version for only $5 and it works just as good. Also it does not pull your hair. My hair is long and natural and it does not get caught in my hair strands. Blessings!!!!!!!!

seems like im on the right track i wash my hair pretty much every night before i go to bed and i rub castor oil and another growth oil and massage it in only thing i was doing it for like 2 mins |
Awesome now it will only take consistency and time your hair will be growing strong. Yes increase the amount of massage time. The same as when we exercise we need to do it for a certain amount of time to get the heart rate up. Well with the scalp massage you want to affect the blood flow to your scalp area. And the friction from your fingers stimulates the hair root where growth takes place. This needs to be done for at least 10 minutes. So you can graduate from 2 minutes to 5 minutes and then up to 10 minutes. Ten minutes is needed to be effective. You want to loosen the scalp muscles this enables your hair to grow better. If you watch any TV do it while watching TV it makes the process go faster.

Hello Ladies.
I am so glad I came across this forum. My hair is so damaged due to flatironing it. My friend reccomended that I try a caramel treatment, which is the homemade version of the E'Tae products. So I googled it & went out & purchased the all natural ingredients & blended them. I also have Organic coconut oil & I need to know how much Wheat germ Oil to blend with my coconut oil. I just recently heard of co-washing. I have Organix Cononut Milk Shampoo & conditioner. I wash my hair every two weeks because I've been told that the grease pruduces better results on black hair. I bought Biotin Vitamins (2500 mg) but they felt like they were sitting on my chest. I guess I have to do research on protein-lean meats & I buy Shrimp like monthly & I love my pistachios. Can you elaborate more on "co-washing"? & since I have like half a Jar of coconut oil left, can you please suggest how much wheat germ oil I should mix in it & I never heard of a scalp massager before (I researched Wheat germ oil & it is safe to blend w/Coconut oil)

I had a chelsea hawk in my hair for a few years, and decided to finally shave it and start over about 6 months ago. My hair STOPPED GROWING at that point (I think because of a thyroid problem).
I've had GREAT success with 1,000mg MSM and 1,000mg Gelatin/day for the past month. Every few days I feel more and more hair on the back of my neck! I also plan on trying Chlorella and maybe Biotin to speed up the growth even more (as well as thyroid supps, haha!) THESE PRODUCTS WILL WORK. I didn't see growth until after almost a full 3-4 weeks on MSM, but once you get it in your system, it will work magic (so don't give up right away).
I'm also keeping it as natural and healthy as possible. I've dyed back to my natural colour and don't plan to dye it too often (unfortunately in bright light you can see that my hair was bleached much lighter under my current dye). I'll probably try a henna dye next time just to try to get it to stay the right shade. I use heat as infrequently as possible (and when I do, I use Aussie's heat protecting spray beforehand). I deep moisturize every other day when I wash my hair (Aussie's 3 minute moisture is AMAZING). I try to drink more water. And for shampoo, I use L'Oreal's EverSleek--it's sulfate-free, so it's much gentler on hair. It repaired a LOT of damage before I cut my hair off, and continues to keep my hair healthier now that it's almost virgin. I got better results when I used it with their paraben-free conditioner, but my hair still has some residual damage, so I prefer to just use a moisturizing conditioner instead (sulfate's more damaging for hair than parabens anyway). Also, to avoid heat more often, I sometimes wrap my hair (what I can of it) after a shower to help straighten it and keep it more moisturized. If my hair were longer, I'd have more success with that, unfortunately. ^^;
Good luck in growing out your hair! I know how disappointing it is to have to cut all your hair off because of damage. Let it be a lesson for us in the future!

You could try growth aids like Megatek or a sulfur mix (sulfur powder and your favorite oils) & frequent conditioner washes. It'll grow just be patient. Good luck!
