Topic: I want my hair to grow back Posted: Jan 21 2013 at 6:10pm |

I big chopped and shaved my hair last week. The hardest thing I had to do and I cried like a baby while it was being cut. Now that it's done I can't wait for it to grow back. I know braids usually make hair grow but since my hair is now so short, how can I get it to grow?

Now is your time to start over. Get into healthy hair habits. Start from inside out. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. Eat veggies ad fruits. Also protein-lean meat, chicken, fish, shrimp, nuts. Maybe try cowashes (conditioner only washes). Find out what works for your hair. Also vitamins.

I second vitamins. Also consider a topical growth aid.
Whether you use a general HSN or something more specialized like Hairfinity, it can help kick start your hair growth rate. Just make sure you have a good amount of biotin and MSM in your vitamins - and be sure to drink plenty of water as many people who take biotin complain of facial breakouts because they're not drinking enough water.

Yes castor oil is good, honestly, most natural and essential oils will do the trick, it stimulates blood flow in the scalp and nourishes and moisturizes.
Some growth aids have sulfur which will help accelerate growth rates, which is why I suggested them.
I recommend Gro-Aut Oil, as I've personally used it on an every-other-night basis and did see good results (in addition to my vitamin reggie). I recently switched to Liquid Gold which has great reviews on here as well.

General HSNs you can find at your local drug store, grocery store or vitamin stores (GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, etc)
Gro Aut Oil & Liquid Gold are available at their own websites (google the names)
Hairfinity - www.hairfinity.com

Since your hair is short this would be a good time to take advantage of cleansing your scalp frequently. Nothing grows your hair faster than frequent washing. Water in your body by drinking 64 ounces daily and water on your body by washing it daily when you take your shower. Since your hair is short it should dry pretty quickly, so no worry of going out the house with a wet head. Better yet you can shampoo at night. This is the fastest way I know to grow your hair. Another choice would be along with the natural oil adding scalp massage but you need to do it daily. Now overall exercise is best because it stimulates your blood circulation. Better blood circulation better hair grow better health. So add a daily 5 minute scalp massage to your routine. Do it while watching TV so it does not seem boring to you. If you do not feel like using your fingers, if you are married ask your husband to massage your scalp. If no hubbie you can purchase a scalp massager. I recommend the tingler. If you live near a CVS drug store, I found a small version of the scalp tingler for only $5. This things feels so good, it makes you come alive! Use it in the morning it really feel so good. This is the more expensive version but CVS has a smaller cheaper version for only $5 and it works just as good. Also it does not pull your hair. My hair is long and natural and it does not get caught in my hair strands. Blessings!!!!!!!!
