To the red: I mean...you can act like they dont.
Find yourself a youtube video featuring at least 1 prominent black person...then read the comments. Or go into the black people tags on Tumblr and Twitter...then read the comments from the white people. Or just go on stormfront.
To the blue: -slavery -institutionalized racism (including but not limited to the prison industrial complex, wage gaps, the so-called "war on drugs,"racial disparities in hiring practices, etc.) -centuries of oppression
In short, black people voicing their distrust or dislike for white people and/or thinking white people are crazy is not the same thing as white people maintaining a the status quo in a culture of oppression. Saying, "white people make me sick" may be "wrong," but it doesnt hold nearly as much weight as a single utterance of the word "nigger," and very rarely is it a single utterance. |
