So I decided to make me a wig. I have locks and I am getting tired of them. I took some old Rex that I bought in 2010 but I had to buy a closure. I used msbossy method for the closure.
Looks amazing! I could use some advice! I ordered Equal Double Weave Iconic Wave (4pcs), because I want to learn how to make my own wigs, and figure to keep things cheap until I am good at it (Besides, if I can make one for this amount of money, my other hair will last longer too!!) Anyway, I watched YouTube for about two months and finally yesterday. The package arrived today. I even bought a couple of Argon treated wig caps that were on sale (Not sure about them, tho. I have thyroid issues, and afraid to wear it too close to scalp...still checking on that). Anyway, here's the problem:
I ordered 2 Qfitt weaving caps (costomized deluxe), and all I can say is this cap looks awfully thin for the purposes of sewing hair wefts into it!! It looks sloppily put together, and I actually took my finger and hand, pushed into and alongside the cap (applying serious pressure, equivalent to, brushing it agressively ) and it punched a hole in it. I can't return it because I ordered it online, but needed to ask what is a good cap to buy? Could I use the Argan-treated cap, or should I go and get a better weaving cap?
