So today I figured I would try Dc'ing on dry hair-shampooing-then doing a quick conditioner rise. Well today I mixed GVP Conditioning Balm and Aussie Moist and a moisturizing deep conditioner and dc'ed on dry hair with no heat. I then shampooed with GVP Extra Gentle and quickie conditioned with VO5 Free Me Freesia.
My hair felt like it did after deep conditioned which is nice. Then I moisturized with GVP Potion 9, my avocado shea moisturizer (PM me if ur interested!), and used shea butter as a sealer. My hair is so freakin moisturized it's great!!!!!!!! Also, it's airdrying thicker than usual! So fine hairs this is a great combo!
Anyone else love Dc'ing with Dry hair/Shea butter??

It's good when you find what works and what your hair loves.
DC'ing on dry hair is just so much more convenient.  It saves you one good wash!

After reading this post yesterday I realized that totally forgot about the wonders (and convenience) of DCing on dry hair!

Since it was my wash day I decided to do it using ORS Replenishing Pack followed by ORS Revitalizing shampoo (only on the scalp).  I also did something new that I've never tried before.  I prepooed on dry hair using my hot oil mix then on top of the hot oil I put my conditioner!  It felt sooooooooooooo good when I finished shampooing.  I forgot my HE HH inside so i didn't even condition after the shampoo and my hair felt so good!

I ended up following up with a braid out and even though i only used my leave-in and 2 pea sized drops of moisturizer on my hair, my strands still feel soft!

About the the shea butter though, that thing smell so high when it's on my skin I just cannot bring myself to put it in my hair.  How does it smell in your hair?  Does the smell linger?

This sounds interesting.  It would save me having to hop in and out of the shower; which I HATE doing in the winter.  I might have to give this try for my next wash.

Last night I used shea butter with walnut oil and coconut oil as a hot oil treatment and it left my hair feeling so silky. Next time I think I'll add honey or molasses.
