I had cataract surgery in my 40's. It's great not wearing glasses all the time, only need reading glasses now. The only thing I would recommend is to ask your doctor if he can under correct one eye slightly, so that you won't need readers. The week between getting the left and right eye done was the best vision of my life, lol, I had 20/20 in one eye, and I could read fine print without glasses in the other. The brain will make up the difference. It was a same day procedure, and no pain! Getting older is only as bad as you make it.

really that can be done?  thanks a lot..taking notes here...

i am switching glasses all of the time....1.75 in general....2.75 to read anything..back and forth, back and forth switching all of the time...

yeah getting older is .....well it could be worse...
