I know what y'all mean I genuinely get it .
But I have separate relationship .

Professional and earnest friendships.
I expect my friends to do great things and I'm sure we could help each other on a professional level and we'd be glad to granted the other is qualified and does great work.
Me and my friends push each other to great and excel but not only with selfish interests in mind.

That wasn't what me and Flow were talking about though

You can surround yourself with certain people that's fine but saying you're friends with someone just bc of what that person can get you is completely different.

I thought I remember you mentioning this in a thread SL.
Saying you are more cautious about this issue as you got older bc now most ppl try to befriend for that purpose only

but I think my friendly and caring nature don't get me where I need to be sometimes (sorry I am running on little sleep and working from home right now so that may not sound right either lol)

nothing wrong with looking out for yourself

lol but I'm still soul searching though

I may go back to my 17 year old mindset someday lol
