When you help someone you do it for them not for you.
That seems kinda selfish.
If she did it for goodness sake it won't be in vain whether they stay together or not |

that the "bad" things that your bf said, his sister said
actually came from him? like the bad things you know about her, came from him?
unless the sister knows about you from somewhere else but then again you said you never spoke to her or saw her before
I hope it isn't true and that he only speaks highly of you to his family

girl you put your all into a man. make him emotionally, mentally, physically, soulfully, intellectually better and have him drop you without so much as a thank you... and then revisit that opinion. believe me its not about selfishness at all.

i agree w jones but i also agree here...only bc the person doing the upgrading is probably going to feel used if they have upgraded more than 1 man for the relationship to go nowhere. at first it's just you being a good person but when does it become realized that even men that need to be upgraded ain't stickin around. that's a waste of good energy. that would suck.
i've upgraded a guy and it was ok bc i didn't hate him in the end.

I think it backfires
when the person doesn't want to be the student anymore
but still gets treated like one
you both have to make the shift to equals around the same time for this fixer-upper thing to work long term
