I was clapping when SamoneL said something about "considering her own family history" it makes sense that Scorp would react/feel this way.   I think it was around pg 100 when Scorp mentioned how she couldn't wait to stop speaking to her own mother.  I was like what kind of fcked up life goal is thatLOL.  Seems to be lots of reflecting going on in OPs interaction with the bf's family. 

Y'all already did all the interpersonal skills analysis I just thought this revelation and the observation was very interesting.
