You need to figure out what  is the root of your split ends, otherwise no matter how many times you trim they will come back.

Are you using a lot of heat, do you use extension braids and how do you finish the ends?

I agree you need to look at your regimen and see if you are doing something that's causing it. I dont get split ends that anymore. I'm using the Cantu Shae Butter Leave In Conditioner and I also wear sew ins to grow my hair out so I dont manipulate my hair at all.

Try doing a Aphogee treatment...once every 6 weeks. A quick proven way to stop those split ends. Buy the 2 step treatment. Apply to hair, cover with cap and sit under the dryer. Hair will get rock hard! Wash out and use Aphogee Balancing moisturizer right afterwards. Then you can go with your normal routine, wash or style. If you don't want to apply it at home, then take the products to your stylist and make them do it before they style you.

ALSO>>>>get your ends cut Before you get braids & weaves, you will be able to see your hair growth better & your ends will look much better after you take down.

Review your regimen, are you getting enough moisture or protein? Are you gentle while handling your hair? Also make sure you have scissors that are designed specifically for cutting hair and that you don't use them on anything else besides hair. Trimming with dull scissors often worsens the problem.

I have been using Herbal essences "Long term relationship" leave In split end protector for about a month, and my split ends are mending slowly, but surely. You can get LTR at target for about $4, I lucked out and got it on sale for 2.79 (and grabbed two bottles). First bottle almost gone, I use it nightly and wrap the head. Smells nice too! Big smile

Check it out.....I was at Dollar Tree looking for a cushion brush (found a "Goode" brand) for $1.00 Clap then I went to the school supplies and low and behold, found some HAIR scissors by Goode also for $1.00 Clap.  So look around before you plunk down $$$$ for expensive scissors. I'm on a tight budget with college and all, and I have to make the $$$ work, but still get a good brand of product for cheap!

But if you got the $$$ I say buy the expensive ones that you want Thumbs Up. You are on your way to a great hair journey.

Start using a steamer when conditioning your hair.  Overtime it will help minimize the look of split ends
