I've been hearing some good things from you s-curl users so I went out and copped a bottle only to realize I have no idea how to use it. Stern%20Smile LOL

For those of you who use it:

Should I use it on wet or dry hair?

How often do you use it?

Do I have to seal it in?

Does it cause build up?

How often should I wash it out?

How to get rid of the smell? Dead

I've used S-curl only a few times (when it's on sale) but I use the same method with any curl activator (care free curl  < my fave, world of curls , stay sof fro, etc.)

Should I use it on wet or dry hair? my dry hair is not curly at all without product so I use it wet, kinda help it along

How often do you use it? only  when I want a nice looking fro.

Do I have to seal it in?
I use the activator on wet hair and then use the gel

Does it cause build up?
Yea, it does, for me like crazy.  But if I leave my hair unwashed my hair starts to look more 70's era fro which is personally my favourite type of fro

How often should I wash it out?
I wouldn't go any longer than 3 days because of the buildup. I clarify w/ baking soda when I wash it out.

How to get rid of the smell?
hmm... I dunno. The smell doesn't really bother me once I get it in my hair it kinda dissipates to me.

HTH

LOL True!

I add S-curl to my moisturizing spritz or braid spray mix.
I'm too afraid to use it in the winter though, because of the adverse affects of using glycerin in dry, cold temps...

For those of you who use it:

Should I use it on wet or dry hair? I LIKE TO USE IT ON DRY HAIR

How often do you use it? ONCE PER DAY. EVEN THOUGH I DONT HAVE HAIR IT IS STILL IMPORTANT TO KEEP AN CLEAN AND MOISTURIZED SCALPSmile

Do I have to seal it in? I DONT NEED TO SEAL. THE GLYCERINE IN IT IS ENOUGH FOR ME

Does it cause build up? IT WILL ONLY IF YOU USE ALOT OF IT AT ONCE WITHOUT CO WASHING OR SHAMPOOING

How often should I wash it out? ONCE PER WEEK SHOULD BE ENOUGH. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY

How to get rid of the smell? Dead  SMELL DOESNT BOTHER ME. I ACTUALLY DONT THINK IT REALLY HAS A SMELL

HEY SWIFT. I think scurl is a great product to use in the winter because it really holds moisture in. However I do not suggest going outside in the winter with it still damp on your hair. It may dry your hair out. I use to use it at night so in the am my hair would have soaked it up. I never had a problem using it in the cooler months. Also, I would part my hair in four sections and use a dime size on each section, mostly conentrating on the ends, and that was enough. This product works best when you dont overdo it.

To add to my last post, I think it worked because the heat in the house and my body heat while sleeping activated that glycerine and thats what made my hair so soft in the am.....just a random thought
