Hi,
Here's the thing - Every time we touch or manipulate our hair in any way, we run the risk of breaking some strands. I'm not sure what your hair type is, but if it's anything like mine (4C), I would suggest letting go of the idea that you need to comb or fluff it everyday. It will sabotage your long hair goals because you will unknowingly be making your hair break off faster than it can grow. If your hair is long enough to grab two pieces and twist them together, then do it!
Not only will this stretch out your hair, but when properly covered at night, twist-outs can give you great 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th day hair. That means twisting your hair on Sunday night, untwisting it Monday morning, and enjoying great looking hair until Wednesday or Thursday.
