When I went to buy hair (Marley) for my twist the lady had me to also buy Organic Root Stimulator Lock & Twist Gel.  I haven't read a lot about this on these posts.  Is it necessary?  What are the pros and cons of using it?  It is put on during the twisting or afterwards.

You can seal the ends of kinky twists by rolling them on perm rollers and dipping them in boiling water. Be careful though. Or if you want them straight just dip them in boiling water. The ORS can be use to keep your natural hair down an help with blending it with the marley hair No necessary though. The ors doesn't really have any cons in my opinion. I use it for twists with my natural hair.

I don't see the purpose of using it...If you can seal the ends they shouldnt come undone. For some reason i can see your natural hair and extension matting together. But I know it works for starting locks and flat twist...Other than that idk why you'd really need it.
Plus shouldn't the lady doing your hair have all the products needed???

I need to know how to blend natural hair in with marly kinky hair so that the natural isn't sticking out.  My daughter has that really soft cotton like hair and it's hard to blend.

If you start the twist like braids I can't see how they wouldn't blend. There should be extension and real hair and in both sections. Women with relaxers get kinky twist with no problems...Video posted below

I do these also, I usuall start off braind and then switch to the twist.  While I am twisting I put Beeswax on the weave so it holds better.  When I am done w/the whole head I put rods at the end and boiling hot water and stick them in the pot not even a minute.  Take the rods out and there ya go.  Twist never come a loose until I take them out.

What is the best way to curl the ends of twists when using your natural hair?
