It's been a long time since I've been here. Missed ya'll... just HAD to log in to say I absolutely LOVE and APPRECIATE your advice, AmandaKay. You are the reason I have worn KC hair for all these years. I'm going to definitely try something other than washing/brushing and wearing my hair down. Time for some style. Thanks again!

I'm both excited and terrified to use it...

I'm definitely taking notes from this treadClap I'm leaning more towards kinky curly than a loose curly for summer now.

Since I'm natural I usually treat my KC like my hair:

- I NEVER go to bed without a satin bonnet or scarf
- Since curls are prone to interlocking on each other I always detangle with a moisture mix that I use for my natural hair and twist up my KC before bed
- use a light oil to unravel my twist like pure argan oil
- I try  not to over manipulate unless that is the look i'm going for that day
- Usually co-wash at least 2x a week and since I dont use much product besides my moisture mix I olnly co wash to keep the mositure in. (Since Most KC is heavly processed  to achieve the lasting curls and texture it tends to be dryer)

*My moisture mix* (Sorry I don't measure)
- Aloe Vera gel
- Wheat germ oil
- coconut oil
- pure argan oil (from camden grey.com)
- a few pumps of whatever leave-in conditioner I have (usually shea moisture restorative condish)

IMO KC or any curly hair has to be well maintained because the curls tend to latch on to one another very similar to if you had naturally curly hair.

Forgot to mention I always use my Denman to detangle and it's great for clumping curls if you are using gel.

That spritz sounds really good! Do the oils weigh the hair down at all?
