Nah.
If you have a kid that needs your support (financially etc), you would still try to pursue a career that 95% of people dont make it in instead of getting a job that is guaranteed money?

not really.. if you have inside connections, or know how to make them in a good amount of time then you can still go for it. These days it's not so much your talent, but who you know.

It depends on what type of music you're doing. Pop stars start young. Preteens through twenties. With other forms of music they can start older.

I think that it strongly depends on the genre. Country music is more forgiving of age, but that industry doesn't like the "instant stars" that AI or XFactor produce; you get more credit if you have been doing small-time things for a while and have paid your dues. Unless you're black; then theyre not checkin for you

In rock, the lead singer of the GooGoo Dolls was almost 30 before their first hit; he was actually about to give up

Adult Contemp. will play  your stuff regardless of age(Susan Boyle)

Idk anything about re e

if youre pushin 30, you should prob. stay away from rap/hiphop/dubstep. seems like a younger person's thing. Also, if you make it and burn out, its easier to start over when youre younger (like 25) than it is later on (like 35)

Just make sure that you have real talent.
