Hello ladies, I was wondering if you knew how often you were supposed to do hot oil treatments? Thanks :)

I'm still new at styling my own hair but I use a hot oil treatment weekly as part of my normal routine. Because my hair is relaxed and colored, I needed something to soften my hair and so far (started in May) it works. By the way, I'm not sure how the oil effects the color of your hair. Someone told me oil could strip away the color. but I haven't noticed any difference. Hopefully someone with more experience will respond!

I do it when my hair is dry also. Which is rare, but since I recently relaxed then I might need it in a few weeks.

I do a hot oil treatment ever week on dry hair before my deep conditioning treatment. I think the results are phenomenal on dry hair.

I've been doing my own hair since i was about 17. with the advice of my hairstylist mother and aunts.  and i've used a hot oil treatment after every chemical service.  it's also a good idea to do a treatment before a color.  your hair will take the color better.  by the way, Kiss hair color has alot essential oils in it.  the color is vibrant and your hair doesn't come out hard afterwards Wink
