I agree; I gave my ex on his birthday a gift card of $150 and we were together for only a month. We lasted about 3 years together. When you care about someone, the amount of $$$$$$ you spend on them doesn't matter.

Actually I did something similar last year for my boo.. I got him a nice watch that was over a 120. We have been friends for about 6 years prior to getting together.
This year, my gift is just under a 100 because it's something that I got one of for myself. He just asked questions about mines, so I ended up getting him one of his own.

For me, price doesn't matter. I'm big on Christmas so if it's something that I want you to have, you're going to have it. My boo and I have been together for nearly four years now. I plan on spending a couple hundred.
