How long do you girls think it is safe to do so?  I am currently six weeks and wanted to hold out to 8 weeks.   Also what products can I use to prevent buildup along the track?

hi, that varies from person to person..it's about personal taste in my opinion, six weeks is long enough.. but it also depends on your hair texture and hair growth, and what type of weave you have, etc.,

If you wash frequently with good professional products such as nexxus, or matrix, etc., you can diminish product buildup on your weave.. it all depends on how you take care of it and personal hygeine..

good luck,

You can go 8 weeks, if you are washing frequently there shouldn't be too much buildup. I wouldn't go longer than 8 weeks though.

no longer than 3 months( i could never last more than 6 weeks)

and just keep on doing whatever youve been doing to prevent buildup(washing, light products, etc)

but when u wash it you guys know its time to take it out.... cause the beautyshop hair is going to start to get unruly!

I normally leave mine 4-6 weeks ( max!), my mom leaves hers 6-8 weeks but she doesnt mine unruly weave, I do!

The organics dry shampoo is good for in between

Well it all depends on that hair, it I have a straight sewn-in I leave in for about 3 months max and my hair loves it and I can achieved about 2 -2 1/2" of new growth while still having healthy hair...However, when wearing curly or waving the most I can get out it about 6-8weeks and then it starts always get tangled...

From experience I treat the weave just like it was head of hair -very delicate, while taking care of my hair underneath. My own hair likes little to no manipulation as possible.
