I say as long as you look professional, not past your hemline (if you wear dresses) and not have any off the wall colors, then your length is okay.

You can wear a high or low bun for the office and take it down out of the office.

In my area I don't see a lot of white, asian or hispanic professional women with 22 inch hair to be honest.  Once your hair gets to that length a lot of attention is placed on your hair than on your talent. I got tired of managers talking to me about my hair instead of my work.

I work as an HR Manager and I agree with many of the ladies responses...keep it classy.
 
Most improtantly...keep it EXTRA classy during your interview. You have no idea how many women (of all races) I see show up to an interview with long weaves and wearing hooker shoes. Don't let anything about your apperance distract the interviewer from the knowledge, skills or abilities you have as a candidate and the value you will add to their organization.

I think it honestly depends on your office culture and HOW you wear your hair versus what length it is. 

I've worked in numerous offices and I've always had 16- 24 inches of hair. 

If the office culture is laid back and not as corporate, with a more younger crowd, sure do whatever with your hair. If it is a corporate or business casual setting, take time to style your hair so  it looks coifed. Curling it, pulling it back, pinning the sides. 

You can usually match this to your required dress code based in your contract or the office vibe.
