13.5 months...would have gone longer, but i promised myself that i would not start the new year with that raggedy relaxed hair.

don't bc in the winter, man. do it in the spring/summer and rock out!

About six months. I freaking HATED transitioning because dealing with two textures was such a bitch.

My hatred for transitioning is what keeps me natural. Plus the healthiness and length my hair has gained. Big smile

I transitioned for 4 months before I decided to do the big chop, but after those 4 months it started to get rough and I wasn't able to comb through my hair, so I decided to chop it off in February. I'm now 7 1/2 months natural and ever since I big chopped I've taken time to focus on the health of my natural hair and stepped away from hair weaves.

8 months. If I knew what was waiting at the end of my big chop it would have been zero minutes.

I transitioned (from my heat damage) in about 11 months. Then I just let the scraggly ends go last month after a series of weaves.
