Im going to be do a self install once my AAMH kinky curly comes in. It should be in today or tomorrow. Im not home so I cant tell right now. Although I've do self installs before, my main problem is figuring out how far to space each weft from one another so that I get full coverage without looking bulky. Because of this problem I often had to rely on stylist. What is the secret?

Also does the spacing correlate to the braid pattern? I know that my mother's hairstylist likes to do the zig zag braids across the head. That is the only way she will do them. All though the hair typically looked nice, if you touched my head you would feel the lumps and bumps. There are too many crazies in Alabama who wanna act like Barbara Walters if you know what I mean as well as guys who thinks it sexy to twirl and play in my hair. So if you guys know of a really flat braid pattern that doesnt call for a horse shoe but goes along with the track spacing please tell me.

My hair is super short about 2 or 3 inches long. The hair I got is 10". So Im hoping that the curl shrinkage will make it about 5". I plan to leave hair out in the front perimeter only. My hair with the help of Kinky Curly Curling Custard stays really defined and kinda shiny so blending should be easy.

I braid straight back, less speed like bumps on the install.  Brading back is the best braid pattern to me.

I got only one pack but of the 10". I know that with shorter hair the wefts are typically longer.

I have this hair in right now and I absolutely love it. So soft and managable. I have in 12" but I cut it even shorter. My wefts are spaced pretty far apart in the back. And then closer at the top. Even w/ that 1 pack was not enough for me. I used about 6 oz. I left hair out at the front and back.
