I have done it with a FLW before. Be mindful of whether or not clips are sewn in. Also with the FLW you bave to take the lace under consideration as to you don't want it to get too dry and over doing it can lead to the lace becoming hard and brittle. HTH

i've microwaved before. it came out silky smooth and it didn't make it shed or anything but the bowl of hot water thing could work, sounds like a good alternative ; i saturated the hair w/ conditioner and then microwaved for about 20/30 seconds and rinsed in cold water. it came out smooth and soft as silk!

i always nuke my hair/units.  i do put them in ziploc bags and slather with either a condish mixture or some hair mayo from ORS.  i nuke for only 15 sec increments, pausing for about 1-2 mins between each time i nuke it.  i usually only do it about twice, then let the hair rest for a couple of hours then rinse with ice cold water.

i do this when dying the hair too. it speeds up the lifting process.  never killed a unit or wefts yet!

Pretty please? Stop doing this. If you want to dc you can put in conditioner and heat with a blowdryer (in or out of a ziploc bag) or you could just do it the old fashioned way and leave conditioner on it for 45 mins to an hour without any heat.

Frying your hair in a microwave is not good and runs the risk of turning it into a rat's nest in the future. Please...stop the madness ladies. LOL
