With me, depends on the tone. For the MOST part, I've not heard any of the mentioned in a disrespectful tone from gay men toward woman. It's more of a term of endearment in my circles. When disrespect/shade is thrown, you'd be more likely to hear " " where I am.
And for the record: Yes. Yes I do, have, will use the word fag to refer to my gay friends an lizzie or dyke with my lesbian friends-- to their faces. We aight like that because we're friends and it's been ok-ed. I'm not stupid enough to do it to random people.

I used to be a faghag and I never had a problem with it. But the word is just overused now. I though "fish" was more insulting.

As long as he's using it WITH me and not at me, I'm cool. I don't use that F word period, so it doesn't matter.
Like Patti said, I'm more offended when gay men refer to women as "fish" cuz I don't like what that stems from.
