Star, I think I get where you're coming from that we shouldn't be ignorant in celebrating a milestone for the AA Community because some white people actually did vote for Obama and helped us accomplish this victory.
But why do you seem to place them on a golden pedestal? We still have a long way to come as black people but white people are not better than us and they are not an example of who we should be. I don't doubt for a minute they would be celebrating and being ignorant *even if it's done behind closed doors* and some would be upfront with their bs behind keyboards.

I only deleted one friend, he wasn't white, he was actually filipino and he is gay...go figure. But I'm sure he lost a lot of friends by his ranting.
but most of my white friends as far as I know voted for Obama, either that or they're not vocal about their political views.
