I know this will seem really strange but, plain crisco got rid of my ecezma. Putting it on after you take a shower helped me. You can also use hydrocortisone. You can whip up shea butter and use black soap but, crisco is cheap and really works.

Crisco may work because it's locking in the moisture. Really anything that creates a barrier for your skin will help control the eczema. I have it too and there is no cure but you can treat it. I recently did a review on some shea butter and it has really helped. Basically you need something heavy. Oils work for a short amount of time for me but I need something that stays in place so shea butter does it for me. Here is just one kind of shea butter there are tons more out there. HTH. ![]() |

I hate having eczema, it's the pitts. On mine sometimes I'll have a Dr. Prescribe me a steroid cream if it's real bad but usually I just use a good moisturizer. My fav is Lush Dream Cream but I know you can find cheaper alternatives if you search. I rather use that because you can only use steroid creams for 2 week increments or it thins the skin and it will tear. The Dream Cream is like 26.50 for the small one but it lasts me so long so I dont mind since I know it works.

I was researching body exfoliation today and I saw a tip on Crisco to deal with rough elbows. You're supposed to cut the toes off a clean pair of thick socks, rub Crisco on the elbows, and slip the socks on over your arms before going to bed. They said that this method is used in hospitals to treat eczema. Some natural girls use Crisco as a sealant for their hair and I used to think that was ridiculous, but now I'm gonna give Crisco a try
