i've never dyed my hair ever in life. i've had my extensions dyedd by a hairdresser but i've never attempted to do it myself. i'm just dying my weft hair and lace frontal black. and i'm sure i can dye the weft hair just fine but for the frontal are there any precautions that i have to take? is there potential that i might accident dye the lace too? or is there a certain process i should take to dye the frontal?

also should i bleach and seal the knots before or after i dye it?

thank u!

I bleached my knots on my closure first. To dye it I hung it on a hanger instead of laying it flat and placed that color protector you get at Sally's (forget the name) on the lace along with conditioner. I carefully placed the dye with the mascara looking wands used for dying also purchased at Sally's and had no seeping of dye on the lace. I'm no expert though so maybe others will have more suggestions.

I use a similar technique except I pin it to a block. I thinly part it and apply with the highlighter wand.  Just make sure that you remove the excess so that it doesn't drip onto the lace or silk. Its tedious but you'll get good results.
