I knew for years her views were highly cooney. My Mom loved her and I was like blah blah till i saw a 60 minutes episode years ago; ever since then she is a non issue to me

to her credit i think it was a part of her survival, i am sure that Ike was inwardly coonish with yt women and how they are better and such to abuse her; not to mention their audience as well as hers were mostly yt.  After Ike she never looked back. Don't get it twisted, she was not the only one I think MJ and the Jackson's went though the same issues. Performing takes you out of your element and if you don't have a strong sense of who you are its easy to be sucked in.
