exactly. this doesn't even make sense.
the stories where lottery winners stay on welfare = comedy. those ppl dont give af. i think there was talk in one state about creating a law to stop lottery winners from receiving food stamps. |
A young women in michigan agreed to show her face on live TV . The girl continue to pick up her check and stamps after winning 3 Million . Her ex turn her in . Sentence to some hard time .

I'd have to say old cooking grease and stale air that may or may not be contaminated with old smoke

Since the lottery goes back to the state, I don't really get this law. Plus, its not like you can use food stamps to buy lotto tickets. So, if someone wants to use cash to purchase tickets, who cares?

Well I know in NY and back home in IN, lotto was supposed to go towards education. You would think that you wouldn't mind if the EBT recipient was buying lotto tix as it was going back into the system and in a way supporting their own.
It's just this proposal doesn't really come across as making any sense. I understand saying, don't buy booze and ciggies with EBT. But you can't buy lottos with EBT anyway. So since you can basically only buy it with cash (at least here in NYC), how do you go about confirming that you're not selling lotto tix to a welfare recipient?!
