This is a serious question... why don't they actually use horse hair? I know horse hair is like a joke about synthetic hair, but horses have really nice hair and it's real actual hair even if it's not human, unlike synthetic. I think horses have very beautiful hair.... lol maybe this is stupid, but I was thinking they make fur coats and all this other stuff out of animals, why not extensions as well?
Lol I am aware this is a stupid question, but look at the beautiful horse.

Probably because thats a show horse and you would have to kill the owner before cutting that hair

I've never felt horse hair, but I would imagine that the strands are extremely thick.

The strands are incredibly thick in diameter...will not blend with any human hair.

Horse hair is Thick...i cant really desc ribe how it feels. But wouldnt be able to sew that in as extensions .
