The really sad thing about this case is, from the way I heard it on CNN, had Anonymous not brought forward the videos and pictures, this case NEVER would have gone to trial. I didn't follow this case very closely, but it felt like, she never would have said anything if Anonymous hadn't forced it.
^^And that's really sad.

Just look at the bullsh*t journeytolong posted. Of course she wouldnt have said anything because people would rather place fault on the victim rather than look at the various aspects of their culture and their behavior that promotes and legitimizes rape.
I find it incredibly ironic that, just a few weeks ago, people were appalled at the gang rape that happened in India, but now are more worried about the futures of rapists in Ohio than they are of the well being of the victim.

ITA... I don't subscribe to the "she must have wanted it", "what was she wearing", "was she flirting with them", "she was drunk so it's her fault" scenarios. Irregardless of whether or not she should or shouldn't have drunk herself into an oblivion like that, those guys should have known better than to take advantage of someone who was out of it like that.

I just really don't get this mentality of some men that a passed out sloppy drunk girl = easy score. With my guy friends, if they're hanging with a girl who looks like she's out of control, they drop her in a cab and exit stage left. Anyone with any sense knows the "easy score" isn't worth it in the long run.

I was wondering if she was also drugged too. Goodness why did they hold that girl like that-wtf were they doing? Smh. |
She could have just drunk a lot on an empty stomach. Binge drinkers can get that way too. I've seen more than 1 person have an ambulance come take them away because of excessive drinking.
| Ok..thanks.

A judge found two Steubenville star high school football players guilty Sunday of raping an allegedly drunk 16-year-old girl.
Why does this matter tho? Athletes and their special treatment

SO many times they are catered too. Their actions get swept under the rug. So disgusting that they don't think to not rape.
