yes palette can be used forever. There is no expiration date. Just sanitize your palettes quite ofter by spraying alcohol on it for the bacteria buildup.

I doubt it. The manufacturers probably want you buying more product. I have palettes that are super old but I constantly sanitize them along with my brushes.

Most palettes (MU in general) these days do have a use within/period-after-opening symbol on the back.

The time frame is generally:
3-6 months for stuff that could end up on ya eyeball
6-12 months for cream/oil based products that should not end up on ya eyeball
12-24 months for wax based & pressed powder products
18-36 months for loose powder products

All that being said, I ignore those times. I toss stuff when; I get bored with it, sick of it, it smells off or starts to separate.

I got a sample of the Smashbox a year or so ago, I used it for 3 days. Didn't do anything at all for oil control, and it put 2 nice lil white bumps on my forehead. Never tried UD primer cuz I don't like them that much.

Aside from MoM, the only thing that has controlled my summer nose oil for more than 4 hours is Murad Oil Control Mattifier.  Black Radiance Complexion Perfection works pretty well too, for about 4 hours.

I got a sample of MAC Oil Control Lotion sometime around the holidays, used it 1 morning and later that same damn day, LilFace called me Rudolph. Why, you ask? Because of the ever so red pimple forming on the tip of my nose. I knew better. Ouch

But now, if you really wanna dry yo whole facial situation entirely up, getchu some grape-seed oil and use it all over your face every night for a week. At least that's what it did for me. I couldn't hang. Others love it though. YMMV

I have tried a sample of the MAC oil control lotion and it was okay.. but the sample was so tiny I really could not use it more than 2 days.
